This time, our office‘s team proceeded with the formulation of one and two-story apartments in the countryside of southern Heraklion. In an isolated area, full of the Cretan agaves, guests enjoy their stay in self-contained suites, defined by a stone wall that twists and turns. Among them, a shared protected patio becomes suitable for meals and any kind of affairs. The complex turns to the west, where the Libyan part of the Mediterranean Sea fascinates. The materials and colors are selected so as to follow the traditional demands, while the clean-cut lines and cuts in the volumes input a modern touch, without flagrantly disturbing the architectural idioms.
